Terms of service
17 September 2026
A written quote before any payment, and you do not pay for a repair that does not repair.
Who sells, who invoices
Checkout Repair is a service of TMD, a sole proprietorship operated by Thaldy MISSAMOUD-DIOP in Montreal, Quebec, registered with the Quebec enterprise registrar under number 2278949757.
The person who invoices you is the person doing the work. There is no subcontracting and no middleman, and the person you deal with does not change mid-job.
Any question about these terms goes to contact@checkoutrepair.com and is answered within one business day.
What is for sale
The diagnostic is free. It reads your store's public pages, lists what stopped working and prices the restoration in hours. You pay nothing for it and the report is yours, whether you order the repair afterwards or not.
The repair is the paid part. It republishes your tracking through the mechanisms the platform now requires, verifies each conversion as firing again, and hands you a before and after statement.
Monitoring is a monthly check that your tags still fire and your feeds still pass validation, with a message as soon as something breaks.
Quotes and prices
No work starts without an accepted written quote. The quote carries the number of hours, the price, the exact scope of the intervention and the stated lead time. It is valid for thirty days.
The price is based on the hours the work takes, not on a flat package, because two stores broken on the same day do not need the same work. The usual range runs from 300 to 2,200 CAD.
For a Canadian merchant, the quoted price includes taxes: nothing is added at payment. For a merchant established outside Canada, no Canadian tax applies and the quoted price is the final price.
Work outside the scope of the quote is covered by a second written quote. It is never added to the invoice without your agreement.
Payment
The repair is paid in two parts: half on order, which starts the work, and half on delivery, once the before and after statement is in front of you.
Card payments run through Stripe. The card number never passes through our servers and we never see it. The receipt comes from Stripe, to your account address.
Monitoring is billed monthly, in advance.
An invoice unpaid thirty days after delivery suspends monitoring if you subscribe to it, and nothing else: we remove none of the work already restored on your store.
Lead times, and what we need from you
The usual lead time is five business days, counted from the day the deposit and the accesses are both in hand, not from the day of the order.
We need collaborator access to your store, and depending on the case read access to your advertising or analytics accounts. You revoke it on delivery, which is normal and expected.
A delay caused by a missing access is not a delay on our side. In that case we tell you in writing what is blocking and what we are waiting for.
Cancellation and refunds
As long as the work has not started, the deposit is refunded in full, with no reason to give. An email is enough.
Once the work has started, the deposit covers the time already spent and is no longer refundable. You remain free to stop there: the balance is then not invoiced, and whatever has already been restored stays in place on your store.
If the tracking is not restored at delivery, the balance is not invoiced and the deposit is refunded. That is the only guarantee that matters: you do not pay for a repair that does not repair.
A refund goes back to the card used for the payment, through Stripe, and shows on your statement within five to ten business days depending on your bank.
Monitoring can be cancelled at any time by email. It stops at the end of the month already paid, with no proration and no fee.
What we guarantee, what we do not
We guarantee that the tracking events listed on the quote fire again, verified one by one, and that the before and after statement we hand you is accurate.
We guarantee no sales figure, no advertising return and no commercial performance: restoring measurement is not selling more, even if one helps the other.
We are not answerable for a change decided by Shopify, Google or Meta after delivery, nor for a change made to your theme or your accounts by someone else. That is exactly what monitoring exists to see coming.
Our liability, should we be at fault, is limited to the amount you paid for the job concerned.
Your work stays yours
The code written for your store belongs to you as soon as the balance is paid. We leave in it no mechanism that calls home, no tag of our own and no dependency on a service we operate.
We name your store as a reference only with your written agreement.
Whatever we see of your order and customer data during the work stays confidential, and none of it is copied outside your store.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Quebec. Any dispute falls to the courts of the judicial district of Montreal.
The service is aimed at merchants acting in the course of their business, not at consumers.
We may change these terms going forward. The version that binds you is the one shown on the day you accept the quote, and it carries its date at the top of this page.
