What it changes

Shopify upgrades the checkout on the merchant's behalf after a thirty-day email notice, wiping any remaining tracking customizations.

What to do

The replacement runs through customer events for measurement and checkout extensions for anything shown on screen. Putting a script back in the same place will not make it run again: the mechanism itself is gone.
